We are currently looking for a Data Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL databases to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
SQL Server production Database Administrator experience across the following areas Patching, Replication, Availability Groups, CDC, Index Optimization, DB maintenance, SQL code tunning, installations, configurations and upgrades.
Monitor database performance, identify and resolve performance issues, and optimize queries for improved efficiency.
Conduct regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Administer user access and permissions, database roles, and privileges according to security policies.
Collaborate with software developers and system architects to design, develop, and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
Design and optimize database schema, tables, indexes, and views for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application development and data analysis needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including connectivity problems, errors, and failures.
Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and reference.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical recommendations and solutions.
Working knowledge of creating and maintaining and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a focus on SQL databases.
Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation principles.
Proficiency in SQL query creation, optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, Redgate).
Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (optional but preferred).
