Data Scientist
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies throughout the Midwest. We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design and deliver analytical solutions that drive measurable business impact
Extract, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Develop predictive and deep learning models to support data-driven decision-making
Design, execute, and evaluate experiments to measure outcomes and validate assumptions
Apply causal inference techniques to observational data to uncover meaningful relationships
Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner
Create and present reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and operationalize analytical solutions
Support the adoption and continuous improvement of data-driven processes and analytical products
Incorporate security best practices into daily responsibilities and decision-making
Required Qualifications
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
Must be located in the Greater St. Louis area
Master's degree in a statistical, mathematical, engineering, social science, or related quantitative field
2+ years of experience with predictive modeling, statistical inference, and deep learning techniques
Experience using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Proficiency with Python or R
Experience presenting technical concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Commitment to incorporating security considerations into daily responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in a statistical, mathematical, engineering, social science, or related quantitative field
Experience designing and analyzing experiments
Experience with data exploration and visualization techniques
Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
Experience integrating and managing data from multiple sources and formats
Experience applying causal inference methodologies, including matching, weighting, or related techniques
Familiarity with deploying and operationalizing machine learning models

Hybrid work schedule available
Candidates should be located within the St. Louis regional area to support occasional onsite collaboration
