Data Scientist
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies throughout the Midwest. We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design and deliver analytical solutions that drive measurable business impact
  • Extract, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Develop predictive and deep learning models to support data-driven decision-making
  • Design, execute, and evaluate experiments to measure outcomes and validate assumptions
  • Apply causal inference techniques to observational data to uncover meaningful relationships
  • Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner
  • Create and present reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and operationalize analytical solutions
  • Support the adoption and continuous improvement of data-driven processes and analytical products
  • Incorporate security best practices into daily responsibilities and decision-making
Required Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
  • Must be located in the Greater St. Louis area
  • Master's degree in a statistical, mathematical, engineering, social science, or related quantitative field
  • 2+ years of experience with predictive modeling, statistical inference, and deep learning techniques
  • Experience using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Proficiency with Python or R
  • Experience presenting technical concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Commitment to incorporating security considerations into daily responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in a statistical, mathematical, engineering, social science, or related quantitative field
  • Experience designing and analyzing experiments
  • Experience with data exploration and visualization techniques
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Experience integrating and managing data from multiple sources and formats
  • Experience applying causal inference methodologies, including matching, weighting, or related techniques
  • Familiarity with deploying and operationalizing machine learning models
Location
  • Hybrid work schedule available
  • Candidates should be located within the St. Louis regional area to support occasional onsite collaboration
