Responsibilities
- Anticipate and meet strategic and tactical data requirements, designing and developing effective data architectures, in the Data Warehouse.
- Documenting data and metadata comprehensively in a manner consistent with industry and departmental practices, and integrating data to promote consistency, transparency, clarity, and accuracy.
- Design data models and structures that directly support the University’s reporting and analytic needs.
- Supervise all steps in the development and delivery of these models and structures.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire, store, and deliver data more efficiently and effectively in the Data Warehouse.
- Advise upcoming and ongoing projects on data warehouse activities.
- Research and investigate new and improved data sources to respond to customer needs.
- Follow and suggest improvements for established Data Management standards, practices, and procedures.
- Provide scope and time estimates for data-related activities for prospective effort.
- Evaluate the data needs for projects and advise on approaches and solutions to meet them.
- Develop and maintain data diagrams and models using approved tools.
- Ensure that developed content aligns with architectural design and performs as expected.

- Experience with data analysis and business analysis.
- Prior experience as a data architect, including data modeling, data gap analysis, data quality assessment and remediation and data process review and improvement.
