Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of flexible data architectural standards with a vision that anticipates and supports future business and technical needs.
- Provides expertise regarding reporting and analytics for lines of business and help in data modeling efforts.
- Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art approaches in designing and developing technical data solutions.
- Responsible for work that is highly complex and varied in nature.
- Support team in resolving and maintaining Warehouse.
- Recognized internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple data disciplines like warehouse, ETL, data modeling, etc.
- Strategy.
- Articulate and demonstrate the value of the architecture and new solutions to organizational imperatives.
- Assist meaningfully in the development of an overarching data strategy that supports the organizational needs both tactically and strategically.
- Develop and implement data architecture standards.
- Align components and capabilities of the data portfolio with the strategies that help meet the organizational vision.
- Design.
- Deliver data models and other data components that enable analytical tools and user to harness the power of data.
- Ensure data solutions are architected appropriately for availability, security, accessibility, and scalability.
- Ensure data solutions are in alignment with data strategy and perform as per the outlined SLA standards.
- Develop data models using standard Azure and SQL Server toolsets.
- Ensure data and associated meta-data is documented.
- Work closely with BI and ETL Developers to resolve data related issues.
- Understand and implement data models in columnar databases using Kimball data modeling techniques.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, plus four years of experience in high-level information technology professional roles in one or many roles such as architect, product engineer, or product manager.
- Demonstrated progressive experience architecting data solutions with numerous varieties of data for large-scale organizations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and improving successful, large-scale strategies in support of strategic business needs.
- Graduate degree in information management, management of information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in a higher education research University.
- Experience with (or preferably training in) formal data architecture methodology: DAMA, TDWI, etc.
- Experience with data modeling techniques in a variety of paradigms: Kimball, Inmon, Hadoop, etc.
- Experience with application development methodology as it relates to data architecture.
