We are currently looking for a Data Analyst II to join our team.
Responsibilities
Protect the information assets of the company, including intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and protected health information, against unauthorized alteration and/or disclosure by appropriately handling and transmitting information in accordance with policies.
Will perform as a liaison between the business and technical teams by planning, conducting, directing and documenting the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with reports, dashboards, including the warehouse.
Assists in the development, maintenance, and support of an enterprise data warehouse system and corresponding data marts.
Assist users with determining what data they need and how to get that information from either the warehouse or source systems.
Follows analysis strategies and best practices determined by the team.
Supports the organization’s Agile practices with previous SAFe experience preferred.
Document program and technical procedures to insure integrity and accuracy of information.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in I.T. or related field
Possess five or more approved certifications within job area
Technical Skills and Experience:
Advanced working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with Power BI or any other Self Service BI tool desired
Cloud Data Platform (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) experience a plus
Experience with Alation or related data catalog/governance platform a plus
Demonstrated qualities and skills:
Excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills
Experience gathering requirements from end users and translating to functional and technical specifications
Experience with adhering to data governance standards and practices desired
Strong problem determination and resolution skills
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Ability to work in a team environment
Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
Must have tact and diplomacy in maintaining cooperative relationships
Detailed oriented and possess a desire for quality
Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus
