Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer II or III to join a growing technical team. This role provides technical expertise and analytics to support enterprise IT security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of server, network, and application technologies, and the ability to contribute to cybersecurity operations, assessments, and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical security metrics, auditing, and analytics
Build, operate, and maintain cybersecurity applications and tools
Support cybersecurity operations and awareness activities
Monitor and respond to security events using enterprise security tools
Handle escalated issues from junior cybersecurity staff
Advise and assist leadership on cloud security posture and risk mitigation
Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation planning
Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and support their technical growth
Contribute to enterprise projects, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
Essential Functions:
Employee Growth & Development (5%): Mentor and train junior engineers; support technical and personal growth
Support & Operations (60%): Incident response, disaster recovery planning, security tool administration, audit enforcement, collaboration with operations teams
Program & Project Management (20%): Guide enterprise projects, escalate risks, ensure compliance, implement new cybersecurity toolsets
Strategic Planning & Risk Assessment (15%): Conduct risk assessments, research emerging technologies, publish best practices, consult business units
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technology or management, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of IT/technology experience, including 1+ year in cloud security
Experience with vulnerability and risk management across diverse technologies
Broad knowledge of IT systems, networking, servers, and cloud security practices
Strong understanding of regulatory and security standards (e.g., SOX, PCI)
Administration and configuration experience with IT security tools
Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, Security+ certifications
Azure Security Engineer or higher
CCNA or higher
Microsoft Security or Administration certification
