We are currently looking for a Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategic Oversight: Champion the supervision of the finance department's operations, including but not limited to billing, accounts payable, payroll, and procurement. Act as the linchpin in the production of accurate and timely financial statements, projections, and analyses, enabling informed decision-making at all levels.
Budget Development & Fiscal Management: Actively engage in the annual budget process, providing critical financial insight and leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs. Contribute to product and service pricing as well as compensation planning and benefits acquisition.
Collaborative Strategic Planning: Work seamlessly with senior management to articulate and refine the organization's strategic vision, ensuring financial strategies are robust, forward-thinking, and fully integrated into the wider organizational goals.
Technology & Process Improvement: Utilize the organization's ERP NetSuite solution, advocating for service enhancements that align with business imperatives and customer expectations.
Performs other duties as assigned
Team Leadership & Development: Spearhead the planning, direction, and review of the Finance Department's activities, ensuring operational excellence. Mentor staff, facilitating professional development and career progression.
Performance Management: Conduct thorough performance evaluations, oversee payroll activities including timesheet approvals and leave management, ensuring adherence to policy and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience: 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and business, including 3 to 5 years in a leadership capacity within a finance department.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to navigate and resolve conflicts, merging diverse viewpoints into a unified financial strategy. Demonstrated proficiency in establishing credibility and engaging effectively with all organizational levels. Ability to present the budget and other financial updates to senior leaders and/or the Board of Directors.
Strategic & Analytical Skills: Proven experience in budgeting, financial and business analysis, and strategic planning with a keen understanding of both direct and indirect costs.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, with specific experience in ERP integration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with current GAAP standards are essential.
Certifications: CPA designation with a current license required, MBA preferred
