ASG is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating concepts into clear, actionable language for both audiences
Develop a strong understanding of technical systems and business processes to support effective solution delivery
Gather user and technical requirements for new initiatives and ad hoc requests across multiple stakeholder groups
Document requirements and technical details through clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Determine scope of requests and identify phased development approaches that maximize business value
Prioritize and sequence backlog items with an understanding of dependencies and roadmap alignment
Facilitate Agile team ceremonies such as standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Measure and monitor team process efficiency, progress, and velocity
Communicate project and product status to stakeholders and internal teams
Help ensure projects stay on track toward delivery commitments, including supporting tradeoff analysis when needed
Coordinate implementation, testing, training, and communication efforts across business teams, IT groups, and external vendors
Serve as a product representative and a key point of contact for questions related to the solution
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and support resolution
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of technical business analysis experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of Agile development methodology and practices
Understanding of technical terminology and the ability to work effectively with technical teams
Strong facilitation skills for meetings, stakeholder discussions, and working sessions
Ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Project management experience
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile and collaboration tools
Experience working in environments that require strong coordination between business and technical teams
Experience supporting implementation, testing, training, and cross-functional communication efforts
