Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team.


Responsibilities
  • Work with business partners to ensure properly defined and communicated project requests.
  • Support them in the development of their business requirements and business cases and ensure that business initiatives requiring IT resources are understood and properly supported by all stakeholders.
  • Meet with business partners to gain an understanding of their business needs.
  • Review existing functionality and perform gap analysis to identify possible enhancements to existing system functionalities.
  • Work with developers/designers to ensure business requirements are understood.
  • Support the development teams as further refinement of requirements are needed and support the business to ensure the proper solution is being developed.
  • Develop test plans and participate in the initial testing of the solution and ensure it meets the business requirements.
  • Develop process flow diagrams when appropriate.
  • Works with process group in identifying the need for process facilitation in support of new project requests.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with other project managers, cross-functional project teams, and internal/ external customers in order to identify key plan tasks and due dates.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 5-7 years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, etc.
  • Accounting or Finance background or financial system knowledge a plus!
  • Basic Word, Intermediate Excel, Flowchart software, and SQL/Query skills
  • Ability to multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to translate business needs and problems into system specifications and provide technical and business solutions.
  • Ability to manage the requirements process.
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Complex analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to share and impart knowledge.
  • Ability to develop and work with project charter, roles and responsibility matrix, requirements documents, process flow diagrams, use cases, test plans, and test cases.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs and problems for technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of various program management/applications
