Technology Business Analyst
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement positions with companies throughout the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
ASG is seeking a Technology Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical delivery teams, translating concepts into clear and actionable requirements
- Develop a strong understanding of technical systems, data platforms, and stakeholder business processes
- Gather user and technical requirements for new initiatives and ad hoc requests across multiple stakeholder groups
- Refine business requirements into detailed technical requirements and acceptance criteria for data pipelines, platform capabilities, and governance tools
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to align requirements with platform standards, scalability goals, and compliance needs
- Support the design and delivery of CI/CD pipelines, observability practices, and data transformation workflows
- Ensure requirements support reusable, secure, scalable, and compliant data product and platform capabilities
- Help keep projects on track toward delivery commitments, including supporting tradeoff analysis when needed
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and support effective resolution
- Communicate project and requirement status clearly across business and technical teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience
- Minimum of 4 years of technical business analysis experience
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and practices
- Ability to write detailed technical acceptance criteria and partner closely with product owners and engineers
- Familiarity with data platforms, data governance, and modern data tooling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively across business and IT stakeholders in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools
- Familiarity with modern data stack technologies such as GCP, Confluent, Kafka, Apigee, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting data transformation, governance, or enterprise data platform initiatives
- Experience working with CI/CD, observability, and data workflow concepts in technical environments
