Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of accounting and finance personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently looking for an Audit Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee audit engagements from planning through completion.
Develop and execute audit strategies to address identified risks.
Review the work of audit staff to ensure quality, compliance, and accuracy.
Conduct audit procedures on income statement and balance sheet accounts.
Participate in meetings to present findings and offer insight to improve business operations.
Ensure timely completion of audits within scope and budget.
Maintain and enhance client relationships by providing excellent service.
Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff.
Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to improve audit functions.
Draft detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations.
Ensure compliance with internal standards, professional guidelines, and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
CPA license
Minimum of 5 years of external audit experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and leadership skills
Ability to travel locally to client locations
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Strong understanding of current audit and accounting principles
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience managing audit teams or engagements
Exposure to leveraging audit technologies for efficiency and accuracy
