Now Hiring: Area Construction Manager – South Region
We are seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for construction activities across the South region. Responsibilities
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture and collaborate with safety partners to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Manage financial performance including budget oversight, forecasting, and monitoring cash flow
• Build, maintain, and report project backlog while identifying opportunities for new work
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives to support regional goals
• Oversee estimating, project planning, contracting, and execution of construction projects
• Manage customer relationships and ensure projects are delivered to satisfaction
• Partner with internal teams to support business development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market efforts
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate team members through performance management and succession planning
• Manage capital planning and equipment readiness in alignment with project needs
• Collaborate with other business units to support growth initiatives across the organization
• Perform additional duties as needed
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Ten or more years of experience in construction leadership, including field operations and project oversight
• Proven ability to manage budgets, drive operational excellence, and lead organizational change
• Strong analytical decision making and problem solving skills
• Experience overseeing teams, coaching talent, and supporting professional development
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related discipline
• Prior experience in a regional or multi-site leadership role
• Demonstrated success in business planning, resource allocation, and process improvement
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and communicate clearly in various work environments
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions
This position supports projects throughout the South region and may require periodic travel to sites and field locations.
