Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of accounting and finance personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently looking for a Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and ensure financial compliance
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
  • Provide financial reporting and insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
  • Establish and refine accounting policies, procedures, and systems to drive operational efficiency
  • Lead and develop an accounting team in line with organizational values
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee preparation for external audits
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver financial guidance and support business operations
  • Support job costing processes and analyze project financials
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in an accounting or finance leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and financial tools
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience with job costing and project-based financial analysis
  • Background in construction accounting or similar fields
