Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistance 1 to join our team.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistance 1 to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Apply daily customer payments received through lockboxes and other channels to customer accounts using cash application software.
- Review remittance information and accompanying instructions to ensure proper application and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets tracking daily cash application by division for the systems used for payment application.
- Engage with internal and external accounting personnel to address customer account issues and discrepancies.
- Distribute credit memos and supporting documentation for short payments to relevant accounting personnel.
- Communicate with customers' accounts payable teams to resolve inquiries about payment applications.
- Process and reconcile remote bank deposits using a remote deposit bank scanner.
- Prepare electronic payment remittance details and backup documentation for scanning into the archive storage database.
- Assist the supervisor with various cash application duties as needed.
- Support Credit and Collections managers with departmental projects and tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- 1 year accounting, customer service, office, and/ or credit/ collection experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Problem Solving Skill Sets
- Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented
- Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
- SAP experience preferred
