We are currently looking for a .NET Developer to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead application lifecycle activities.
Develop and implement complex applications on one or more platforms, ensuring proper documentation is developed.
Lead design discussions with IT staff and customers.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.
Responsible for quality assurance, including ensuring new/modified software applications are ready for release.
Manage relationship with software vendors and external service providers.
Ensure team members adhere to code reviews and standards.
Lead the research and evaluation of new technology, products, specialized hardware and tools to optimize development and functionality of applications.
Ensure team members complete project tasks as assigned, taking corrective action to keep projects on schedule.
Support complex operational activities and recoveries.
Analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and make decisions within the scope of their responsibilities.
Provide off hours support, as needed.
Provide technical direction and mentoring to staff.
Direct the daily activities of, train, monitor and guide less experienced staff.
Provide input to management on team member performance reviews, hire decisions.
Contribute to the professional development of the team Responsible team delivers excellent customer service.
Ensure continual improvement of and adherence to departmental standards by team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’ s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science.
5 years relevant technology experience
Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline.
7 years relevant technology experience.
Prior experience in a higher education technology environment.
Experience consuming and developing API’ s.
Ability to communicate effectively and frequently both verbally and in writing with other members of the team.
Collaborate with other teammates to provide assistance, and expertise, as well as to receive expert input and assistance from others delivering the best solution and experience for the customer.
Must possess an aptitude for patience, professionalism, tactfulness and empathy.
Must be enthusiastic and committed to helping others and exhibit the ability to quickly assess the specific needs of the customer to determine an appropriate course of action.
Must be able to quickly defuse stressful or anxious situations.
Expert level of technical knowledge of application systems and analysis, as well as industry best practices
Extensive experience in researching and implementing new technologies in specialty or related areas
Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications programming
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Champion continual improvement of internal processes and procedures
Experienced in consulting with clients and higher-level technicians and analysts to resolve technical problems and ensure customer satisfaction
Ability to provide technical guidance to all skill levels
Ability to interact with customers to discuss and recommend alternative technical solutions
Ability to work extra hours and recognize the need to do so
Ability to adjust scheduled time
Ability to adjust to change and demands on time
Experience with Microsoft SQL (T-SQL) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience with .Net Programming Language and IDE. (C#, ASP.net, Visual Studio)
Experience with source control.
Experience with Microsoft Batch files.
Experience automating and supporting batch production processes.
