We are currently looking for a Project Management Department Manager to join our team.

We are currently looking for a Project Management Department Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Planning and Leadership
- Lead, motivate and manage the project management team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Project Execution and Oversight
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, resolving issues and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
- This entails a current and thorough knowledge of door and hardware product applications in addition to current knowledge of commercial building codes and requirements.
- Research and determine solutions to problems regarding incorrect materials, warranty work, shortages, timeline limitations, installation errors and more.
- Team Management and Development
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of project managers and project detailers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members to support their professional growth.
- Resource and Budget Management
- Allocate project managers and resources across projects based on project requirements, team members' skills, and organizational priorities.
- Oversee the department's budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to support project and departmental goals.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure projects adhere to company standards and compliance requirements, implementing quality control processes to maintain high standards of delivery.
- Evaluate project outcomes, conducting post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate them into future project planning and execution.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Encourage innovation within the project management team, exploring new tools, techniques, and processes to enhance project delivery and outcomes.
- Continuously assess and improve the project management framework and practices, adapting to changing organizational needs and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent as minimum – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of project management within the commercial construction industry
- Demonstrated leadership experience coaching / managing team of no less than 5 people.
- Experience in door, hardware, and specialty divisions (Division 8, Division 10): Division 8 covers all kinds of openings, including doors, grilles, entrances and glazing systems, windows, skylights, hardware, glazing materials, louvers and vents. - Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
- Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
- Understanding of how to position products against competitors.
- Proficient computer skills required.
