Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a Project Management Department Manager to join our team.


Responsibilities
  • Planning and Leadership
  • Lead, motivate and manage the project management team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
  • Project Execution and Oversight
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, resolving issues and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • This entails a current and thorough knowledge of door and hardware product applications in addition to current knowledge of commercial building codes and requirements.
  • Research and determine solutions to problems regarding incorrect materials, warranty work, shortages, timeline limitations, installation errors and more.
  • Team Management and Development
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of project managers and project detailers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members to support their professional growth.
  • Resource and Budget Management
  • Allocate project managers and resources across projects based on project requirements, team members' skills, and organizational priorities.
  • Oversee the department's budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to support project and departmental goals.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Ensure projects adhere to company standards and compliance requirements, implementing quality control processes to maintain high standards of delivery.
  • Evaluate project outcomes, conducting post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate them into future project planning and execution.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Encourage innovation within the project management team, exploring new tools, techniques, and processes to enhance project delivery and outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and improve the project management framework and practices, adapting to changing organizational needs and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:    
  • High school diploma or equivalent as minimum – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of project management within the commercial construction industry
  • Demonstrated leadership experience coaching / managing team of no less than 5 people.
  • Experience in door, hardware, and specialty divisions (Division 8, Division 10): Division 8 covers all kinds of openings, including doors, grilles, entrances and glazing systems, windows, skylights, hardware, glazing materials, louvers and vents.   • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Understanding of how to position products against competitors.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
