Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology and professional services personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City Areas, as well as some remote opportunities.
We are currently looking for a BI Analyst to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide valuable insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for key performance indicators using BI tools.
- Conduct thorough data profiling and validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data quality standards and data governance policies.
- Contribute to the identification and resolution of data-related issues and discrepancies.
- Support end-users by providing training and assistance in interpreting and utilizing BI reports and tools.
- Assist in the creation of documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Proactively communicate findings, trends, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of BI solutions with existing systems and data sources.
- Participate in the planning and execution of BI projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
- Adhere to data security and privacy protocols, ensuring the responsible handling of sensitive information.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance BI processes, tools, and methodologies for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in modeling, business systems, databases, ETL processes, or other directly related experience.
- Advanced analysis, research and report writing skills.
- Advanced knowledge of databases and fluency in SQL,
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence software including one or more of the following: Power BI, SSRS, and MS Office applications.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trending and forecasting knowledge
- Oracle, PowerShell, VBA, or Python knowledge
