Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our team.

We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Develops, interprets, reviews, validates, documents, and maintains business and functional requirements
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings to define key capabilities and requirements which enable stakeholders to define business strategy
- Evaluates business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options; recommends solutions that best serve business needs
- Provides information about how requirements may affect functional design documents
- Serves as the primary interface between the user and the IT team; presents formal presentations to end users, stakeholders, and management
- Conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members
- May lead acceptance testing and interface with all stakeholders to ensure client/user needs are met
- Presents information regarding enhancements and tracks and responds to questions from business and IT team members
- Identifies potential problems that arise with new or enhanced applications; communicates how problems will affect business; recommends solutions
- Writes business correspondence and technical reports and reviews report results for accuracy
- Research opportunities to minimize complexity by leveraging current IT investments and seeking out cost-effective solutions
- Participates in change management activities, including Q&A testing, troubleshooting, and investigation
- Performs task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service
- Maintains established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards; identifies opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a role with similar responsibilities
- 3+ years of experience in developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- Must be a motivated self-starter
- Must be able to effectively manage time and multi-task, handling multiple projects at the same time
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and customer focus
- Ability to problem-solve and resolve a wide range of moderately complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Ability to be successful under minimal direct supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with various business members and IT teams (ex: business stakeholders, IT Project Managers, Software Engineers, Managers, etc.)
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Familiar with JIRA and Confluence is a plus
- Familiar with Microsoft products is a plus
- Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Software Development Methodology is a plus
