Staff Accountant
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of accounting & finance personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities
Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger
Participate in the month-end close process
Create and post journal entries and perform other general accounting functions
Conduct research and utilize analytical problem-solving
Prepare financial summaries and ad hoc reporting for management as needed
Assist with external audits, including the preparation of schedules
Respond to internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Exercise strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability
Work effectively independently and in a team environment
Support special projects and other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2–4 years of accounting experience (general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, month-end close)
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
Commitment to collaboration in a team-centric environment
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting experience
CPA designation
Experience working in a project-based or high-volume environment
