Job Description

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Bridge the gap between user needs and coding reality by following a clearly laid out design process that will involve creating and consuming detailed documentation.
- Needs to think outside of the box.
- Be able to see beyond what is being said to the real need that needs to be addressed.
- Critical thinking is a necessary attribute.
- Ability to be self-motivated, self-learn, and be precise is critical and must be demonstrable through past examples.
- Be able to relate how they live a “life of learning”, and how they are able to put forward ideas and modify their thinking in a team environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Design and engineer software solutions including web applications, web services, and Microsoft Windows services to meet our clients’ needs.
- Analyze data and its uses.
- Collaborate with members of the team.
- Create and maintain test plans and reports.
- Generate design, technical, and user documentation.
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
- 4+ years’ experience in JavaScript & .NET/C# programming.
- Full lifecycle development experience or knowledge of systems and software development.
- Web-based application development experience (HTML, CSS).
- Experience with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
- Experience with source control – Git.
- Experience at debugging, especially event-driven processes.
- Experience with relational databases – Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016 (including database design, queries, stored procedures, metrics, indexes, etc.).
- Analytical skills (statistical and mathematical application in testing validity and quality of software development).
- Exceptional written and communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise design, technical, and user documentation.
- Awareness of key coding principles such as Don’t Repeat Yourself (DRY), Single Responsibility Principle, and Design Patterns is essential.
- Don’t necessarily need to know the details of those principles, but that they exist and have the initiative to look up what’s not known.
- Vue Framework
- MVC
- Experience of creating and understanding Data Flow Diagrams and Unified Modelling Language (UML) diagrams is beneficial.
- Experience in creating Windows and Web Services.
- Other languages: C/C++, jQuery, XML
- Experience with data access technologies such as ADO.NET, SQL, Entity Framework
- Linux/Windows
- Node.JS
