Job Description

We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing faculty activity and reporting through digital systems.
  • Serve as a data steward for the electronic faculty activity reporting system including, but not limited to, importing data from other campus information systems, modifying the configuration of the database in response to changing campus needs, creating report templates, generating data reports, and conducting technical troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to determine system effectiveness and demands and should be familiar with information confidentiality standards.
  • Possess significant understanding of faculty organization and administrative leadership and be a campus expert on faculty activity reporting.
  • Knowledge of emerging information technologies and information management tools.
  • Understanding of information security and privacy.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software programs.
  • Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to automate and streamline processes and achieve operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with self-direction under minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, creative, analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to foster cooperative cross-functional working relationships with faculty, administrators, and staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

  • Comprehension of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods.
  • Knowledge of survey design and data collection
  • Ability to develop innovative new programs and services, evaluate their effectiveness, and implement changes as needed to make improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software programs.
  • Proficiency in organization, prioritization, and the ability to track, monitor, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, creative and analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making.
