Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology and professional services personnel. We are currently looking for a Sr. Accountant to join the team.
Responsibilities

Ensure and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
-
Apply generally accepted accounting principles to all transactions.

Maintain monthly balance sheet work papers, including accounts payable, prepaid reconciliations, and accrued reconciliations.

Post monthly journal entries including, payroll journals, payroll accruals, other accruals.

Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and bank account reconciliations.

Responsible for researching and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
-
Review P&L and assist in controlling annual expenditures by preparing, verifying, and controlling the entering of journal entries.

Evaluate subsidiary journals for obvious errors and omissions.

Enter monthly journal entries, execute monthly closing entries, execute reclassification of month-end general ledger.

Review monthly balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements for accuracy.

Review financial statements to ensure that the information reported properly reflects the financial position.

Assist in reviewing, updating, and maintaining monthly closing procedures.

Ensure all processes are appropriately documented.
-
Assist in the on-going documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of past experience, preferred.

Associate’s Degree and 3-5 years of past experience
-
Two years of experience in an Accounting role is desired.
-
2+ years of QuickBooks experience.
-
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
-
Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions and have skill in multi-tasking.
