You and Your Job

As an Audit Director, you will be successful supporting the CAE in leading the audit function, and to assume responsibility over Wholesale & Rural lending audits, as well as other functional areas. The ideal candidate will be team oriented, open and transparent, and with high emotional intelligence.
 

Responsible for leading a team of Internal Audit professionals, to champion and manage an effective internal audit function. Crucial experience needed:

  • Maintaining credibility with Federal & State Regulators.

  • Supporting a CAE or Functional audit head, including Management and/or Board reporting.

  • Leading a team and balancing departmental KPIs while delivering on quality.

  • Lending/credit

  • Audit department strategic thinking and execution, including working with the business.

 

Job Responsibilities

As part of the leadership team, supporting the CAE in all aspects of leading, developing and deploying the team, to deliver effectively on our mandate.

  • Contributing to the longer-term strategy and integrating that with the business strategy is also critical.

  • Ensuring clarity of reporting to stakeholders to drive actions that contribute to the strength and success of the Bank.

 

From a stakeholder perspective, access to a broad range of senior leaders where it is crucial to establish trusting working relationships in which issues or risks are openly communicated, and that meaningful actions can be taken.

  • Enhancing internal awareness of process, risk, and control, along with the role of Internal Audit, and having a good risk-lens.

  • Maintaining credibility with State and Federal Regulators is also critical.

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the Audit Director role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equiv.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • Holds a relevant professional certification.

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.

  • 10+ years of Finance/Bank experience in Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, IT or Operations

  • 8+ years managing audit projects/teams, including supervising and directing work.
