Job Description


Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in the Midwest region. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect / Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop, and implement data and analytics solutions across multiple platforms

  • Design and implement data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Fabric

  • Utilize Databricks for data processing and analytics

  • Design data architectures from ingestion through presentation layers

  • Implement artificial intelligence capabilities across Fabric and Databricks environments

  • Work with Azure Synapse including pipelines, data lakes, SQL Serverless, and SQL Dedicated Pools

  • Design, develop, and maintain semantic models using SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, Microsoft Fabric, and other database systems

  • Analyze data to drive meaningful business outcomes

  • Utilize ETL tools to move and transform data between systems

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document data-related issues

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, project managers, and other teams

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements

  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Establish and follow best practices for database and data warehouse architecture

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of related experience in data architecture or data engineering

  • Experience building data lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric

  • Experience with Databricks

  • Strong experience designing data models and working with ETL methodologies such as SSIS, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Talend

  • Development experience with SQL and Python

  • Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments

  • Experience extracting data from relational databases and third-party systems

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Experience configuring databases, services, and service accounts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI experience

  • DAX or MDX experience

  • Open-source database experience such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
