Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
We are currently looking for an Controller to join our team.

We are currently looking for an Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, manage audits, and communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
- Lead the general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control and related functions.
- Conduct the monthly closing process, including the consolidation of entities, and financial statement preparation to meet required deadlines.
- Secure accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure that compliance and reporting requirements of state and federal agencies, including Canada.
- Prepare and file various government documents, including property tax returns, license applications, annual reports, and surveys. Also, provide materials to group accountants for income tax returns.
- Work with Human Resources on various matters relating to company benefits and pay arrangements to meet reporting requirements.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business initiatives and achieve financial goals.
- Analyze cost structures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create a work environment of trust, empowerment, and teamwork.
- Other projects and assignments as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a related field
- MBA or CPA Strongly Preferred
- 5 years of experience in financial management or controlling roles
- 3 + years in a Management & Leadership Experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access Power BI, etc.)
- Proficiency in financial reporting, and ERP systems (AS400 system knowledge a plus).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of internal controls, and regulatory requirements
